ASICS EKIDEN INDIA 2026 - Where Teams Ran as One.

More energy to move body and mind

Rooted in Japanese tradition, EKIDEN is more than a relay race – it’s a celebration of teamwork, endurance, and a shared pursuit of excellence. This year marked the arrival of this iconic relay format in India for the very first time, bringing together runners to experience the true spirit of collective movement.

The inaugural edition was flagged off by H.E. Mr. ONO Keiichi, Ambassador of Japan to India; Mr. Yasuhito Hirota, Chairman, CEO and Representative Director, ASICS Corporation; Mr. Rajat Khurana, Managing Director, ASICS India & South Asia and Executive Officer, ASICS Corporation; along with ASICS athlete Kartik Karkera. Together, they marked the beginning of a landmark sporting celebration that brought the spirit of Japan and India’s vibrant running community together.

From the very first stride to every Tasuki handover, each moment reflected teamwork, perseverance, and unity. What began as India’s first EKIDEN has already grown into something far greater – a movement that celebrates running together.
